OFFERED IN WINTER & SPRING
Snowshoe to one of the finest overlooks in all of Yosemite: Dewey Point. Our adventure will take us up and down small forested ridges and through snow covered meadows to the breathtaking views of Yosemite Valley’s south rim. You will see incomparable views of El Capitan, Three Brothers and other famous Yosemite landmarks. The snow covered peaks of the high country roll to the horizon; Mount Conness, Mount Hoffman, the Clark Range, and beyond. Our guides will share with you their intimate knowledge of the Park and make sure your snowshoe experience is fun and inspiring. Join us on this amazing adventure that is sure to be a highlight of your stay!

8:45am-5:15pm
GROUP SIZE
2-7 participants. Reservations recommended. Contact Recreation Desk for availability and pricing for groups of 8 or more.
PRICE
$210 per person, age 12 and up. Includes transportation, naturalist guide, snowshoe rental, and lunch voucher for use in our General Store. Additional $20 park admission fee per adult (waived for Yosemite Annual Pass or America the Beautiful Pass holders).
DIFFICULTY/AGE LIMIT
Participants should be comfortable walking on varied terrain at elevations up to 7,300 feet. There are short climbs and descents on this 7.5 mile (round trip) snowshoe, and it requires a moderate, sustained effort, good endurance and a good attitude. The trip is suitable for fit individuals ages 12 and up.
MEETING PLACE
Meet 15 minutes before departure at the Rush Creek Lodge Recreation Desk (located in the Guest Lounge).
WHAT TO BRING
• Completed trip registration forms
• Small backpack with at least 3 liters water and snacks
• Proper footwear–waterproof, warm boots with warm wool or synthetic socks
• Layered clothing including waterproof wind/rain jacket
• Other warm clothing including thermal top and bottom, warm ski hat, gloves, and sunglasses or goggles (depending on conditions.)
• Camera and binoculars (optional)
OTHER INFORMATION
• Our first-aid-certified guides carry first aid kits, permits, maps, radios/cell phones, and water filters
• Guide gratuity is not included; for exemplary service, a 10-20% tip is customary
