OFFERED IN SUMMER & FALL*
Yosemite is a hiker’s paradise and North Dome is one of its most premier destinations. North Dome provides an impressive perch on the North Rim of Yosemite Valley to gaze out at massive Half Dome and the surrounding cliffs, canyons and peaks. We begin from the trailhead off of Tioga Road, which bisects Yosemite’s breathtaking High Country.
We’ll hike through lush old growth forest, home to falcons, eagles, bears, foxes and bobcats, and end at North Dome with scenery that many consider the most spectacular on Earth! Our friendly expert naturalist guides will share an understanding of the area’s trees, wildlife, geology, and human history. This 9 mile round trip hike is not overly demanding, but participants should be in good shape and ready to enjoy up to 5 hours hiking.
